Community Promoters in the Black Country
The Community Promoters scheme is designed for enthusiastic individuals and groups, dedicated to putting on an entertaining night for their community.
Black Country Touring subsidise, and support community groups through this simple and rewarding project where by groups select, promote and put on a professional touring theatre or dance show.
Community Promoters
How does it work?
You take control of the all aspects of promoting a show, from selecting a show, promotional ideas and putting a professional theatre or dance production on in a venue of your choice. Black Country Touring have a massive range of companies with varied styles of productions to select from, the main thing is that the show chosen best suits your community – be it a fun circus show for kids and families, or something more theatre or dance based for adults – the choice is yours!
The next stage is creating the promotional material and planning for the event itself, links have been made with the touring company, venues are sorted and your roles for the day are organised. Once tickets are sold and promotions are in full swing the day of the performance will soon arrive.
With your volunteers in place; manning box office, maybe even doing some refreshments or selling raffle tickets, you will be linking with the Theatre Company and audiences on the day. Black Country Touring will be on hand but the event belongs to your organisation with your members.
