Comedy Workshops – Autumn 2005

This course for aspiring stand-up comedians from a South Asian background was run by Janice Connelly (aka Barbara Nice, Holy Mary in Phoenix Nights and recently featured in Dead Man Weds) and her accomplice Shazia Mirza, with guest tutors Inder Manocha and Paul Sinha. The comedy course ran for ten weeks and was a huge success with participants going on to have a regular stand up slot at the Custard Factory in Birmingham and attendance at the Edinburgh Fringe 2006.
