Oak House Film Project goes live online
Well we are so excited to say that the finished films are now live on the website! There are six films in all, three from Oak House Museum and three from more contemporary locations that are part of the lives of the participants. Incorporating story telling, film making, dance and poetry and working with some really exciting contemporary artists from the West Midlands they show the journey participants took in discovering new ways to curate and respond to their environment. From Oak House we have History Touring an adventure through time into the fascinating history of the buiding, Oak House Alive in which items from around the building become the inspiration for contemporary dance and Our Manor which gives Oak House a voice and tells its story through poetry. Inspired by our time in the historical building of Oak House we went out into West Bromwich to tell stories from the community, in Future Tours time travelers from 2412 crash land into the U-Choose Youth Club for a look around our world as if it were a museum, Public Moves shows dances created in and around The Public in West Bromwich, taking inspiration from the building and artwork on display and finally Connect Respond shows participants responding through poetry to the community they live in.
Check out our wonderful website, with the finished films, video blogs, photographs and everything you could want to know about this project. We hope that you enjoy watching these films as much as we enjoyed making them!
