Things are slowly coming together on the Allan Ahlberg project. The work has been going on in the schools, a day a week for several months now and we are getting ever closer to the opening of the exhibition “The Art of Story” at The Public, which will house much of the work.

The designers are working away on the third floor to create the Story Park and we had a meeting of the artists today in which we discussed all the final elements to be installed.

Sakab Bashir, BCT’s usual designer for our website and brochures, is working to transform a whole host of materials for the various screens in The Public, translating the work created by the children in the schools, into material that will work in the gallery alongside material from the books of Janet and Allan Ahlberg.

It’s quite a task, a new challenge for us, but one which is very exciting and rewarding!
